Learn the basics of knitting using chunky yarn to create your very own stylish and functional bag with Crafty Summer!

In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to design and create their own chunky knit bag, choosing from a variety of colourful chunky yarns.

In this workshop, participants will:

• Understand the characteristics and benefits of chunky yarn.
• Explore different types of chunky yarn.
• Overview of knitting techniques used for bag making.
• Choose the right chunky yarn for durability and aesthetics.
• Understand knitting tools: hands vs. knitting needles.
• Explore different bag styles and structures.
• Practise tension control for even stitches.
• Learn variations in making straps
• Learn how to combine yarn of different colours or what to do when yarn runs out

• 500g chunky yarn in cotton or velvet
• All necessary crafting tools and materials
