Cyanotype Printing

Explore this eco-friendly photographic technique of cyanotype printing that makes use of the sun. Learn how to use plants and photographs to create beautiful blue prints in this relaxing art of printmaking. 

In this workshop, participants will:

• Learn about the history and science behind cyanotype printing
• Mix and apply cyanotype solution to paper and fabric
• Arrange leaves, flowers, or transparencies into personal designs
• Expose their prints to UV light or sunlight
• Rinse and reveal beautiful Prussian blue images
• Take home a printed tote bag, paper prints, and a t-shirt (if brought)
  

What's Included:

• All materials provided: tote bag, watercolour paper, cyanotype chemicals, brushes, UV light
• Optional: bring your own t-shirt or fabric item to print on
• Take-home prints and sun-exposed fabric artwork
