Foam Printmaking

🧽 A beginner-friendly printmaking workshop that’s bold, colourful, and easy to fall in love with.

In this ~1.5 hour session, participants will learn how to design and carve their own foam printing plate using simple tools — no sharp objects or experience required. Once their design is set, they’ll print it onto paper and a tote bag using vibrant ink and a hand-pressing technique.

It’s an accessible, high-reward introduction to printmaking — perfect for all ages.

In this workshop, participants will:

• Learn the basics of printmaking and foam plate carving
• Sketch and transfer a design onto foam
• Use simple tools to press texture and lines into the plate
• Apply printmaking ink and print their design onto paper
• Print a final version onto a tote bag
• Take home their printed creations and reusable foam stamp

What's Included:

• All materials provided: foam sheets, printmaking ink, paper, tote bag
• Take-home: 1 printed tote bag and several paper prints
