Gel Plate Printing

In this 2-hour workshop, participants will learn how to use gel plates — soft, flexible printing surfaces — to create stunning monoprints. From stencilling and masking to photo transfers, this is a highly creative and low-pressure session that’s perfect for expressive play. Gel plates are reusable and non-toxic, making this a more eco-conscious way to explore printmaking.

In this workshop, participants will:

• Learn the basics of gel plate mono-printing and its sustainable benefits
• Experiment with stencilling, mark-making, and layering techniques
• Use brushes, objects, and found materials to add texture
• Try photo image transfers using laser prints
• Create multiple paper prints with unique compositions
• Take home a set of their best prints, each framed with a paper border

• Participants will take home a selection of framed paper print
