Punch Needle Coaster

Learn the basics of the delightful craft of punch needle embroidery and create your very own colourful coasters.

In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to design and make their own unique coaster from a variety of patterns and colors to personalise their project.

In this workshop, participants will:

• Explore different types of punch needles and their uses.
• Overview of essential supplies: punch needle, fabric, yarn, hoop, and backing.
• Select the right fabric and yarn for different textures and effects.
• Understand how hoop tension affects the final design.
• Learn how to thread and adjust the punch needle.
• Practise different stitch heights for texture variation.
• Control stitch direction and spacing for a clean design.
• Transfer the design onto fabric using simple techniques.
