Rubber Stamp Carving

Learn how to design and use tools to carve your very own rubber stamps. You’ll learn more about this age old technique of print making and create your own prints on paper and a tote bag.

In this workshop, participants will:

• Learn about the traditional technique of rubber stamp carving
• Sketch a custom design suitable for stamp use
• Safely handle carving tools and cut into rubber
• Ink and press test prints onto paper
• Stamp their final design onto a canvas tote bag
• Take home a personalised rubber stamp and prints they created

What's Included:

• All materials provided: rubber stamp pad, carving tools, inks, paper, tote bag
• Use of carving knives and safety tools
• Take-home carved stamp, 5 paper prints, 1 tote bag print
