Handcrafted Ceramics(Trial Session): A Pottery Experience at Clay-Street Pottery Studio

This beginner-friendly trial session offers you the choice between wheel throwing on the pottery wheel or handbuilding using techniques such as pinching, coiling, and slab work. Whether you prefer the rhythm of the wheel or a more intuitive, hands-on approach, the experience is designed to be accessible and engaging.

what you'll experience:

This 2 hour hands-on session invites you to slow down and connect with clay—learning the foundational techniques of wheel throwing in an intimate, guided setting. Whether you are a complete beginner or exploring clay for the first time, the experience focuses on process as much as outcome.

You will be introduced to centering, shaping, and forming your own ceramic piece , with individual guidance throughout. Each piece created carries the imprint of your hands—making it uniquely yours.

Your work will be professionally finished, glazed, and kiln-fired at the studio, ready for collection at a later date.

Care instructions:

• We provide aprons, but clay is messy. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting a little dusty (it washes out easily!).
• All our studio glazes are lead-free and 100% food-safe.
• While our high-fired stoneware is generally sturdy, we recommend hand-washing your handmade pieces to keep them "perfectly imperfect" for years to come. Avoid sudden extreme temperature changes (like pouring boiling water into a very cold mug).
