Card holder leather crafting workshop

Welcome to Reservoir Dayak Leather Goods, where we have various leather crafting workshop lesson plan that you can choose from.

With our 15 years of experience, we will impart our knowledge and skills to you, making it a memorable class.

For this class, we will be making a simple card holder. We will teach you the basic leather crafting techniques like cutting, using the acrylic template and penknife to cut the shape of the curve. We will use the prongs to knock the holes.

Learning the hand stitching technique of saddle/double stitching where both ends of the thread will be attached with a needle.

We will then learning the finishing of smoothing the edges of the leather with a wooden burnisher & burnishing cream for a good workmanship finish. And lastly participants will get to engrave their names with alphabets stamping tool.

Safety will be our main priority as sharp objects like penknifes and needles are used.

Most importantly, participants will have a deep understanding and appreciation of crafting your own leather goods all by hand and be amazed by your end product with a good workmanship.

The leather used are buffalo veg tan leathers and they will seasoned to a darker & shiny colour over a period of time.

Participant's will get to choose the leather colours of your choice from 12 different colours.
